ArmInfo.Currently, the village of Nerkin Khand is surrounded on three sides by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, while the head of government is proud of the repaired roofs of the local houses. This is how the head of the Tatoyan Foundation, former Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan responded to the publication of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page that, as he promised, he repaired the roofs in the village.
In this regard, Tatoyan recalled that as a result of the invasion of Azerbaijani troops into the territory of Armenia, the villagers lost their lands and pastures, and children continue to attend school under the sights of the Azerbaijani armed forces. In addition, the Azerbaijani side is massively destroying forests and violating the general security system around the community. "How can one be proud of fulfilling promises to repair roofs when, due to this government's obsession with holding on to its seat, Nerkin Hand is surrounded on three sides by armed Azerbaijanis who have invaded Armenia's territory," the head of the fund lamented.
According to Tatoyan, the current government in Armenia is also thinking about how to present to the public the issue being discussed with the Azerbaijani side regarding Armenia's refusal to sue Azerbaijan in international courts and other organizations.According to Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, as of November 25, the volume of assets managed by mandatory pension funds in Armenia reached approximately 1 trillion drams. The regulator recently proposed amendments to the law , which will ease some restrictions on pension fund investments and expand opportunities to directly invest in private businesses (Private Equity). This is expected to increase the share of investments in shares from 25% to 35% for conservative funds
Nerkin Khand, a village in the Kapan community of the Syunik region of Armenia, has been subjected to creeping enemy occupation. For a long time, the Armenian authorities denied the fact of the invasion of enemy forces into the territory of Nerkin Khand. The Armenian Defense Ministry even prepared a whole video refuting this fact. However, later, human rights organizations presented factual evidence of the seizure of the village territories during their visits. According to the latest data, the village is surrounded by more than 2 dozen Azerbaijani armed positions on 3 sides. After Azerbaijan occupied 2,700 hectares of Kapan in September 2022, arable land, pastures, water sources, and the cemetery of Nerkin Khand are under their control.
We add that earlier, the head of the Tatoyan Foundation, Arman Tatoyan, noted in his video address that the Azerbaijani military is engaged in the construction of military roads, destroying the Shikahogh nature reserve in the Syunik region of Armenia. To this end, thousands of trees are cut down in the reserve, fauna is destroyed, mines are installed, and local residents are deprived of access to drinking water and property, and are forced to drink river water.
