ArmInfo. The total amount of Azerbaijan's defense and national security expenditure in the state budget has been increased to 8 billion 555 million manats (over 4 billion 280 million dollars). This was stated by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov during the third reading of the draft law "On the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" in the Milli Majlis.
According to Azerbaijani media, Sharifov informed that as a result of the government's recommendations, about 159 million manats have been released, which will be used to provide additional financial support for measures to strengthen the defense and national security of Azerbaijan. "Thus, the total amount of defense and national security expenditure provided for in the state budget for 2025 will reach 8 billion 555 million manats," the minister emphasized.
