A total of 16 European teams will secure spots at the 2026 World Cup. The 12 group winners will qualify directly, while the remaining four slots will be determined through play-offs scheduled for March 26. The group stage of the European qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup will take place from March to November 2025. The play-offs are scheduled for March 26 to 31 March 2026. Matches for the World Cup 2026 will be hosted in 16 cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The final match will be held in New York on July 19, 2026.
