ArmInfo. Armenia to appoint liaison officer to embassy in the Netherlands. The decision was made on December 12 at the government session.
On December 12, the Armenian government approved the establishment of a representative of the Republic of Armenia (liaison officer) attached to the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Kingdom of the Netherlands based on the agreement .
As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the Executive Director of Europol and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia signed an agreement , which will provide an opportunity to have a contact representative (liaison officer) in Europol, through whom direct contact will be established with Europol, as well as with liaison officers seconded from EU member states.
On April 12, 2024, the law was adopted, which entered into force on April 23, 2024.
As a result of the adoption of the draft law, based on the agreement , a representative of the Republic of Armenia (liaison officer) will work at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Kingdom of the Netherlands with powers, due to which the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia will more effectively implement the powers vested in it within the framework of the development and implementation of the policy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
