ArmInfo. It is quite symbolic that the dominant Civil Contract faction in Armenia is discrediting itself by throwing out of its ranks people who just a few months ago were engaged in the most outrageous propaganda of the actions of the ruling force. This was written on his Facebook page by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition With Honor faction.
According to him, we are talking about the very people who justified capitulation and defeatism - from the transfer of Artsakh to Azerbaijan to the Azerbaijani occupation of various parts of Armenia. "These are the same people who defended the criminal inaction of the authorities in the most vile way. They are no longer needed because they were used and thrown out. And from a human perspective, for RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, today's situation is nothing, these are just numbers that have zero value," the deputy noted. He added that what happened to the above-mentioned members of the ruling party in Armenia will affect others at another stage.
The head of the ruling Civil Contract faction in the country, Hayk Konjoryan, announced the exclusion of MP Hakob Aslanyan from the faction. "The faction made a unanimous decision to exclude Hakob Aslanyan due to a serious disciplinary violation, as well as due to behavior that is completely incompatible with the values and political course of the Civil Contract party," Konjoryan said in a statement.
A day earlier, Hakob Aslanyan announced that he was suspending his participation in the faction for a month. The basis for this was the investigation into his former colleague Hovik Agazaryan. That same evening, Aslanyan changed his mind, making a statement in which he called his decision to freeze his participation in the faction a mistake. However, Armenian media drew attention to the fact that the text of the statement was sent to the disgraced MP by High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
Aslanyan decided not to comment on the issue of his expulsion from the faction.
