ArmInfo. There is a glimmer of hope for peace in the South Caucasus. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his speech in the country's parliament, as reported by the APA agency.
"We are close to achieving peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Ensuring peace will contribute to the development of the region and create new opportunities," the minister said.
According to him, Turkey supports all efforts in this process. "Our country supports the negotiations between the parties, which are conducted on a bilateral basis without intermediaries," the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry emphasized. Fidan also touched upon the situation in Georgia, expressing regret over the events in this country. According to him, the intervention of a third party could also lead to a complication of the situation in Georgia.
