ArmInfo. Member of the National Assembly of Armenia Hovik Agazaryan, who was expelled from the ruling Civil Contract party the day before, announced his intention to leave both the NA Counting Commission and the ruling faction. He announced this on December 4 from the rostrum of the parliament.
According to him, not all the statements and assessments that have been made recently in his address will receive an appropriate response, but the responses that will be made will be answered in kind.
In turn, Chairman of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan addressed the NA Secretariat with the instruction to ensure Agazaryan's exclusion from the ruling faction.
The day before, the party announced on its Facebook page that by the decision of the board of the political force, Hovik Agazaryan was expelled from the party for leaking confidential information of state and party importance, as well as for gross violations of ethical standards.
Earlier, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope in an interview with Public Television that the MP would listen to his call to resign from his parliamentary mandate, which, however, did not happen on the part of Agazaryan. Pashinyan recalled that the MP was involved in a scandal related to the former head of the Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan.
