Armenia`s main Christmas tree to be lit up on Dec 8

ArmInfo. The lights of the  country's main Christmas tree will be lit on December 8, at 20:00. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan during a working  meeting of the Yerevan City Hall on December 2. In this regard, he  called on citizens to be at Republic Square 20 minutes before the  ceremonial event.

Presenting the New Year's program, Grigoryan said that, according to  tradition, a Christmas fair will be organized, which will also  include a concert program.

Earlier, during a press conference, Grigoryan said that the New  Year's decoration of the city cost Yerevan 549.7 million drams, which  is 12.3% less than the figure for the previous year.
