Armenian Government plans to amend the procedure for assessing damage  caused by emergencies

ArmInfo. The Armenian government plans to amend and supplement the decision "On Approving the Procedure for Assessing the Damage Caused to Individuals and  Legal Entities as a Result of Emergency Situations". The draft was  published on the website of legal acts e-draft.am.

According to the draft developed by the RA Ministry of Internal  Affairs, the amendments will determine not only the assessment of  damage, but also the procedure for compensation. In particular, the  approaches to assessing damage caused to the population caused by  emergency situations will be further clarified, streamlining  compensation mechanisms to make them more understandable and  applicable.  The draft provides for simplification of the assessment  of property and agricultural damage.  The project was developed  taking into account the requirements of the law "About Protection of  the Population in Case of Emergency Situations", since the current  law does not address issues related to compensation. This amendment  aims to make the compensation process more effective and fair.
