ArmInfo. Moscow expects productive contacts at the highest level with Yerevan as part of the events within the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS in Moscow. Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin made this statement at the second public forum "Russia - Armenia", as reported by TASS. "We expect productive contacts between our leaders as part of the upcoming December events within the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS in Moscow," he said.
According to Galuzin, despite the known challenges, there is an ongoing rhythmic multifaceted dialogue between Russia and Armenia. He added that Moscow remains committed to upholding all agreements with Yerevan and fulfilling its obligations to its allies, including in the military-political sphere. "We have been collaboratively shaping the security framework in the South Caucasus for years," he said. "As we see, Russia's role in this regard has always been and will continue to be essential, especially given the evolving situation in the region and globally. We are ready for a frank and substantive discussion with Yerevan on this pressing issue."
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Russian Federation sincerely values its relationship with Armenia and its people. "We always try to treat the Russian-Armenian alliance with great care. The relations between our countries are based on centuries-old traditions of friendship, common history, cultures and value systems, as well as numerous material achievements and projects," Galuzin added. The Deputy Minister noted that the countries in the Transcaucasia should be vigilant and work together, as the "bombs" of interference from the countries of the collective West are falling everywhere.
"Speaking about Transcaucasia in this context, we have just witnessed how the Georgian leadership and Georgian society were subjected to the most severe, simply insulting attacks and the most intense pressure from the collective West for defending traditional values. The government implemented a pragmatic policy in line with the national interests of the Georgian people. This is very close to Armenia. We see these bombs of Western interference falling everywhere. I believe that all countries in the Caucasus and their neighbors must be very cautious and vigilant. Joint measures are necessary to ensure that the issues of the Caucasus are resolved by the efforts of the Caucasians themselves," the deputy minister added.
