Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will visit Helsinki on 28-29 November at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, as reported by the press service of the Finnish Foreign Ministry. The statement emphasizes that the foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, relations between Armenia and the European Union, Finland's forthcoming OSCE Chairpersonship and regional issues.
"The bilateral relations between Finland and Armenia are good. Foreign Minister Mirzoyan's visit will provide an opportunity to discuss closer cooperation. Finland strongly supports Armenia's efforts to move closer to the European Union and encourages the country to continue on the path to democratic development," Elina Valtonen said.
During his visit to Finland, Foreign Minister Mirzoyan will also meet President of the Republic Alexander Stubb, Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-Aho and the Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand.
