ArmInfo. All employees of the Investigative Committee of Armenia continue their work as usual. This was written on his Facebook page by the press secretary of the Investigative Committee Gor Abrahamyan, commenting on media reports that chaos began in the department after the appointment of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Poghosyan as head of the Investigative Committee.
"There is no chaos in the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. All employees of the committee continue their work as usual. Personnel changes always occur, but with the already established system and structure, they cannot have a significant, and even more so chaotic, impact on the implementation and organization of work," Gor Abrahamyan noted.
According to the Armenian media, immediately after Poghosyan was approved as chairman of the Investigative Committee, the process of mass resignation applications began in the department. The fact is that many employees of the Investigative Committee transferred to this department from the structures of the Prosecutor General's Office, being "well acquainted" with Poghosyan. Let us recall that on November 22, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced his intention to nominate Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Poghosyan for the post of Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.
The former head of the Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan resigned on November 18.
