


ArmInfo.The statements from the Armenian side indicate that Yerevan is distancing itself from all CSTO formats. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin told journalists, when responding to a question about Armenia's potential participation in the CSTO summit on November 28, as reported by TASS. The high-ranking diplomat was asked if there is a chance for Armenia to participate in the upcoming CSTO events, including the leaders' meeting. "Address the question to the Armenian side," Pankin responded. "Judging by the statements of the Armenian side, it is currently distancing itself from participating in all formats of the CSTO activities at different levels."
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that "the CSTO poses threats to Armenia's security, its future existence and sovereignty." Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan mentioned at an international security forum in Warsaw that Yerevan is carefully considering all risks regarding the decision to withdraw from the CSTO.
