ArmInfo. The volumes of industrial catch of fish and crayfish in Lake Sevan will be carried out by the relevant decision of the RA government. The RA National Assembly Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environmental Protection issued a positive conclusion on the amendments to the Law "On Lake Sevan" at its session on November 6.
According to Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection Ara Mkrtchyan, the catch volumes are determined on the basis of annual studies conducted in two stages. The first stage of the studies is carried out in November, on the basis of which a permit is issued in December for the catch of the lake's bioresources until September 1 of each year. The second stage of the studies is carried out in June, on the basis of which the catch volumes are specified in August. This applies not only to volumes, but also to types of bioresources.
