ArmInfo.Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan is not ready to disclose the details of the proposals made by Yerevan to Baku on unblocking, since the document has not yet received its final form, but the main idea is to open roads in line with the <Crossroads of Peace> project.
Recently, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan stated in parliament that there is a certain positive atmosphere in the issue of unblocking the transport and logistics infrastructure between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"Steps have also been taken towards unblocking the transport infrastructure of the region. We have sent proposals to the Azerbaijani side, which were approved at a semi-official level. I am saying this to show that there is a certain positive atmosphere here. And we will continue to work with the Azerbaijani side to reach a common agreement on lifting the blockade," Mirzoyan said. As Hovhannisyan stated in a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly on November 5, there are no unusual elements in Yerevan's proposal here - it was about maximally opening up communications.
"The main thing is that third-party control, in terms of security or in other forms, is excluded, Armenia's sovereignty and total control over these routes are preserved," said the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia. When asked what was new in the negotiations with Azerbaijan, Paruyr Hovhannisyan answered: "There have been many intensive meetings recently, but I cannot yet talk about the results, but perhaps you have noticed that the period was unprecedentedly active in terms of meetings and contacts."
