ArmInfo.On November 5, Yerevan will host an international conference entitled "The Path to Social Justice: Decent Work" with the participation of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia.
Satyarthi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 "for his fight against the oppression of children and youth and for the right of all children to education." Satyarthi is the first born Indian Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
According to the ministry, the event is expected to be attended by officials, politicians, experts and social partners from various countries. Among them are also the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Women and Family Affairs Zahra Behrouz-Azar, the Chairman of the Gulf Fund for Development (AGFUND) and the Arab Council for Child Development, Prince of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Four panel discussions are planned on the sidelines of the conference, where topical issues will be discussed: child labor and education; policies for responding to the challenges of the employment market; women's economic empowerment and social justice; social justice and the role of the Gig economy (an economic system in which people freelance and/or work part-time - ed.).
