Armenia to host next United Nations Biodiversity Conference 

ArmInfo. Armenia will host the next United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP17). The UN  Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity revealed the news on X.

"Armenia is set to welcome the upcoming UN Biodiversity conference,  reinforcing its commitment to global biodiversity conservation," it  said.

"In 2026, Armenia is set to host the 17th Conference of the Parties  (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity.

"With 65 votes in favor, Armenia was selected as the host country for  the Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity.

"Congratulations!" Armenia's Minister of Environbment Hakob Simidyan  wrote on his Facebook account.
