ArmInfo.. Armenia is closely linked to Russia through its economic ties. This was stated by RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on October 31.
He pointed to the differences between the two countries on a number of political issues, especially regarding the CSTO, of which Armenia and Russia are members. "We continue to believe that the Organization has not responded properly to the encroachments on the country's borders," the minister emphasized, noting that Armenia will continue to develop relations with Russia, including through the EAEU.
Speaking about relations with the United States, the minister recalled the signing of a document on strategic dialogue between Yerevan and Washington. He noted that negotiations are also underway on a number of individual areas of cooperation, the results of which will become obvious if not this year, then definitely in 2025.
As for relations with the European Union, Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of starting a dialogue with the EU on visa liberalization. He also noted the cooperation within the framework of the EU Peace Fund, from which Armenia has the opportunity to receive albeit small, but politically important assistance.
