ArmInfo. The Museum of Communications gathered talented Armenian youth under its roof to sum up the results of the "Science Week". As reported by the press service of Team Telecom Armenia, the Museum hosted the award ceremony for the laureates in three nominations - "Science Week Through My Eyes" (drawing competition), "Starry Horizon" (story competition) and GitaCon (comics competition).
Team Telecom Armenia, being the main partner of the "Science Week", continues to support the development of young talents and the popularization of science in Armenia. In particular, the company awarded the winners of the competition with special prizes: smartphones, tablets and smart watches.
Presenting the prizes to the laureates, Karen Shaboyan, Commercial Director of Team Telecom Armenia, noted: .
As reported by the company's press service, in the nomination "Science Week Through My Eyes" the best work was Jim Oganesyan's "The Big Bang", in the literary nomination - the story "The Price of Utopia" by Artur Arakelyan, and among comics the best was recognized as Lusine Petrosyan's project "What if it works out?"
The winner in the category "Science Week Through My Eyes" 16-year-old Jim Oganesyan noted: "When I started thinking about what to draw for the competition, I immediately realized that my theme would be Space. I thought that a white hole corresponded to this idea, since it, unlike a black hole, does not absorb, but spews out powerful flows and distributes matter. However, its existence has not yet been proven by science. In the course of work, I realized that my picture is more like the Big Bang, which is considered the beginning of the Universe, everything, including our life. Of course, this is more pure science fiction. I have no idea what the Big Bang looked like - this is just my interpretation."
Speaking about the competition, Lilit Margaryan, the operational director of the Gituzh initiative, which is the organizer of the Science Week, said that the results are impressive both in terms of the number of applications for participation and the level of content presented. "This was the first step of "Gituzh" and Team Telecom Armenia to inspire creative youth of Armenia to create on scientific topics within the framework of Science Week," she said, noting that the initiative was successfully completed. Margaryan expressed confidence that this experience should be made continuous, thereby contributing to the development of scientific imagination and creative thinking in Armenia.
