Delimitation of the borders between Yerevan and Baku is the correct  path towards a peace treaty, says Vladimir Putin

ArmInfo.The process of demarcating and delimitating the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan is the correct path towards achieving a peace treaty, as stated by Russian  President Vladimir Putin at the BRICS summit in Kazan ahead of the  bilateral meeting between Pashinyan and Aliyev.

"It is very pleasant to note that the process of demarcation and  delimitation of borders has begun. This is indeed the correct path  towards a peace treaty," he said after the speech by Armenian Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as reported by TASS.  During his speech,  Pashinyan stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan would be able to  accelerate the border delimitation process once the commissions'  regulations are ratified. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  emphasized that the countries could move forward with the process  after ratifying the regulations.

 Note that within the framework of the BRICS summit, a bilateral  meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of  Azerbaijan started at 3:00 PM Yerevan time. Details of the meeting  have not been reported yet.
