The European Union of Judges raised concerns about diminishing  independence of judges in Armenia

ArmInfo. The European Association of Judges (EUJ) has expressed concerns about the diminishing independence of judges in Armenia. The EUJ statement was  published by the Association of Judges of Armenia.

 The statement adopted after the EUJ forum specifically notes that an infringement  of the independence of judges should be considered if those who  initiate the disciplinary procedures directly or indirectly influence  those who decide those procedures. The European Union of Judges calls  on the Armenian authorities to refrain from such measures and invites  the competent bodies within the Council of Europe and other bodies to  follow developments in Armenia.
