ArmInfo. During October, the Azerbaijani administration carried out the complete demolition of the entire historical center of Stepanakert.
Former Artsakh Culture Minister Sergey Shahverdyan reported this on his Facebook page. According to him, at least 6.5 hectares of residential buildings were completely destroyed, including historical residential buildings, a Soviet-era apartment building, and public buildings. In this regard, the former minister presented a map that was created by analyzing a previously published video taken from a residential building that housed service apartments for employees of the Azerbaijani Ministry of National Security. "The publication of the video is aimed at demoralizing the people of Artsakh, depriving us of our will and hope for return. The sudden rush may be a sign that something unknown to us is happening behind the international scenes," Shahverdyan emphasized. At the same time, the former Minister of Culture of Artsakh drew attention to the lack of reaction from the relevant departments: "I just don't know how to make the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Artsakh and the Human Rights Defender of Armenia take action," he wrote on his page.
