Azerbaijan extends illegal arrest of Ruben Vardanyan 

ArmInfo.The Azerbaijani authorities have extended the illegal arrest of the former state minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan.  This was reported by Azerbaijani media with reference to the Sabail District Court. 

Ruben Vardanyan was captured by Azerbaijanis on the Hakari Bridge on  September 27, 2023, while crossing the Lachin Corridor. The  Azerbaijani authorities, as part of a fictitious criminal case,  accuse Vardanyan of "financing terrorism, participating in the  creation and activities of armed formations or groups not provided  for by the legislation of Azerbaijan and illegally crossing the state  border of Azerbaijan."
