ArmInfo.Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expects the participation of the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Iran in the meeting of the 3+3 platform on the South Caucasus.
The meeting is scheduled on October 18 in Istanbul. He stated this in Ankara at a press conference following talks with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi. "We are continuing to work and consult on issues in the South Caucasus with the countries of the region in the "3+3" format. I am hopeful that the third meeting of this important platform will be held on October 18 in Istanbul. The meeting will be attended by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran and Russia," Fidan said, as reported by TASS.
Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, has already confirmed to Russian media that Sergey Lavrov intends to participate in the meeting. ArmInfo has sent a request to the Armenian Foreign Ministry to clarify the level of participation of the Armenian side in the event. The Armenian Foreign Ministry noted that they will inform about Yerevan's participation in the event in due time.
