ArmInfo.Peter Stano, the official representative of the European Union Foreign Political Service, responded to a statement made by Alexander Bortnikov, the head of the Russian FSB, who claimed that the West is pushing Armenia to delay peace talks with Baku and intends to lead the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process and deploy a NATO contingent in the South Caucasus. He referred to it as "nonsense".
"These comments are complete nonsense, a lie and manipulation, typical of the Russian regime, which tries to cover up the repeated failures to fulfill the promises made to Armenia and obligations towards it," Stano said in response to a question from the state agency Armenpress.
