ArmInfo.US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to meet tomorrow in New York with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia to push for the "final stage" of peace negotiations, TURAN reports citing sources familiar with the matter.
At the same time, the agency notes that it remains unclear, however, what the "final stage" would look like or what possible outcome there may be. The State Department offered no immediate comment or confirmation. Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov are currently in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly debates.
Sources told the agency that tomorrow's expected meeting will be Blinken's second trilateral with his Azeri and Armenian counterparts in the U.S. in less than three months. The top diplomats last came together during the NATO summit in Washington. Blinken recently spoke separately with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia and "welcomed" recent progress between the parties, including agreement on a border delimitation regulation.
