Aliyev once again accuses Armenia of "artificially delaying the peace  process"

ArmInfo.President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has once again accused Armenia of "artificially delaying the peace process".  Thus, during his speech at the first session of the 7th convocation of Milli Majlis, Aliyev noted that there have been ten exchanges of comments between Azerbaijan and Armenia since the first Azerbaijani draft was sent to Armenia.

"As the months passed, we actually expected that Armenia would give  us its comments more promptly and quickly. But we see the exact  opposite. We had to wait 70 days to receive the final version from  them. All non-agreed provisions were removed from the peace treaty.  In other words, we didn't expect such a primitive and inadequate  step," Aliyev noted, whose words are quoted by Azerbaijani media.   The Azerbaijani president then expressed dissatisfaction with  Armenia's purchase of weapons, pointing out that it was obvious that  " some Western countries allegedly want to set Armenia against  Azerbaijan." And despite how trivial it may sound, Aliyev suddenly  showed concern for the fate of the Armenian people, the very same  people who had taken away our homeland just a year ago.

"For them, the Armenian people are just an instrument, a means to  keep Azerbaijan under constant pressure. They use the territory of  Armenia  to create sources of threat here for Azerbaijan and other  neighbors of Armenia to ensure their own interests," Aliyev said. At  the same time, he did not fail to boast about the build-up of  Azerbaijan's military power.

 "New armed formations were created, the number of special  forces  has multiplied several times. New special units and common forces  have been established, and their number will continue to grow year to  year. He emphasized that the combat capability of the Azerbaijani  army is growing, its equipment is provided and will be provided at  the proper level. Armenia and any country behind it should know that  it will be impossible to talk to us in the language of blackmail and  ultimatum. We are prepared to provide answer and must always be  prepared for this," the peace-loving Aliyev threatened. He added that  the creation of new production sites with several foreign partners  has already moved into the practical phase, emphasizing that  Azerbaijan now exports military-industrial complex products to dozens  of countries and the geography of supplies is expanding every year.  Aliyev also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that external  forces have not digested Azerbaijan's occupation of Artsakh and "are  hatching new plans against the country."
