Baku concerned over Yerevan`s steps to raise its security level - MP

ArmInfo.Baku is concerned about Yerevan's measures to increase the country's security and  defense capability . This was stated on September 16 by Andranik Kocharyan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract party and Chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Defense and  Security, at briefings in the National Assembly.

According to him, Azerbaijan is essentially concerned that the  Government and Armed Forces of Armenia are carrying out large-scale  measures to increase the country's security and defense capability  . , Kocharyan said.

Armenia, in turn, is concerned about Azerbaijan's large-scale arms  purchases, the parliamentarian added.

Recently the Armenian Defense Ministry has increasingly had to refute  Baku's latest disinformation, even several times a day. And after  each refutation, the RA Ministry of Defense reminds from  the Azerbaijan Republic that the office of the RA Prime Minister  proposed creating a joint Armenian- Azerbaijani mechanism to  investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about  them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded.
