ArmInfo. Negotiations are underway in Yerevan between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Stephane Sejourne, who arrived in the Armenian capital the day before.
It should be noted that Sejourne's visit began on September 15 with a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
Sejourne laid a wreath at the Memorial and honored the memory of the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
Ahead of his visit to Yerevan, the French Foreign Minister published a video message on his Twitter microblog (X), in which he described the goals of his upcoming visits to Armenia, Greece and Moldova.
"French diplomacy, together with these three partners, is committed to peace and sovereignty in Europe and for Europe.
Armenia and Moldova, because they have chosen democracy and independence and the path to Europe, are also facing attempts at destabilization and unacceptable pressure.
France stands by Armenia: it is a historical partner, a friendly country, and our support for its independence, its territorial integrity and its aspirations for peace is unwavering. Our cooperation is strong and we are strengthening it: we support the development of strategic infrastructure to ensure Armenia's resilience," Sejourne noted.
