ArmInfo. In the current conditions, the return of the residents of Artsakh is unrealistic, said Sargis Khandanyan, head of the standing parliamentary committee on foreign relations, at a briefing on September 4, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that the return of Armenians to Karabakh under the conditions of his former authorities is unrealistic.
<I do not consider it (the return of the Artsakh residents to their homes) realistic given the ideas with which a number of NK representatives are trying to interpret this issue. For the same reasons that the same people signed a decree on the dissolution of Nagorno-Karabakh and immediately left Nagorno-Karabakh>, - Pashinyan said at a press conference on August 31, answering a question about why he is afraid to talk about the return of the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh.
<I do not think that we can discuss this issue at the moment, especially publicly. Security is a major issue that still has no solution. Armenia's security is still under great threat, and in these circumstances, concluding a peace treaty is a priority for Armenia," the head of the commission said.
