ArmInfo. Russia expressed its readiness to continue to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in drafting a peace treaty. This was stated in a statement by the Kremlin following a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the Kremlin, during the telephone conversation, the leaders of the two countries continued to discuss issues of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, including taking into account Vladimir Putin's talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during his state visit to Baku.
"The Russian side confirmed its readiness to continue to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in drafting a peace treaty, advancing the process of border delimitation and demarcation, as well as unblocking transport and logistics links.
During the exchange of views on the bilateral agenda, the positive dynamics of trade and economic cooperation were particularly noted. It was agreed to continue contacts," the Kremlin reported.
Meanwhile, the Armenian government's statement only noted that during the conversation, Putin shared with Pashinyan his impressions of the talks in Baku, and the latter thanked the Russian leader for this. It was also noted that the leaders agreed to meet when possible to discuss the bilateral agenda.
