Azerbaijan, Turkey planning new aggression against Armenia

In his opinion, most likely, Ankara and Baku will break through the  corridor, with the Pashinyan government completely inactive  (vacation, bicycle, etc.). Igityan notes that it should be clearly  understood that having lost Artsakh, Armenia lost the shield that  protected it from the attack. Now a new attack is being prepared by  Azerbaijan. As an example, the political scientist cited the news  feed, which testifies to Baku's intentions. In particular, on August  14, an Il-76 transport plane of the Azerbaijani airline "Silk Way  Airlines" flew from Azerbaijan to Israel. "Usually, this is how  Azerbaijan transports weapons. This was the case in early September  2023," Igityan recalls.

He then recalled the demand of the government of RA Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan on August 16 for the withdrawal of Russian troops  from the Syunik region, where they were stationed on the border with  Azerbaijan. On August 17, the air defense of the neighboring state  conducted exercises, on the same day, the Turkish Air Force conducted  reconnaissance near the borders of Armenia - Bayraktar UAVs and  Boeing 737 AEW&C flew. A day later, on August 18, Azerbaijani  propaganda resources write that Armenia is forming an artillery unit  in the Goris region, which, according to Azerbaijani propaganda,  gives Baku the right to strike Armenia. On the same day, the  Azerbaijani Defense Ministry accuses Yerevan of shelling its  positions in the direction of Julfa (Nakhichevan). On August 19, a  Bayraktar UAV flies unhindered from Turkish territory into the  territory of Armenia - almost to Yerevan.

"The map shows Azerbaijan's territorial claims, which it made back in  1919 against Armenia, Georgia and Russia. Azerbaijani President Ilham  Aliyev directly declared that Yerevan also belongs to Azerbaijan. The  elites of Turkey and Azerbaijan believe that Armenia should not  exist. This must be understood," the political scientist noted.
