ArmInfo. Political scientist Stepan Danielyan responded to the pompous release of former RA Defense Minister David Tonoyan.
"David Tonoyan is greeted near the prison as a war hero, another such war hero is Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs. The final destruction of values is underway. Statues of both should be erected at the entrance to Yerevan, and the second one in a more monumental style, and the keys to the city should be handed over to Aliyev," the political scientist wrote on his Facebook page.
The day before, the former Defense Minister, who was released from custody on bail of 15 million drams, was met by numerous relatives, friends and associates who gathered in front of the pre-trial detention center. In a conversation with journalists, Tonoyan noted that he was ready to walk home, which is 500 meters from the pre-trial detention center. In total, according to the ex-minister, he spent 2 years, 10 months and 17 days in prison. Let us recall that David Tonoyan is a defendant in a criminal case related to abuses in the process of supplying ammunition, including missiles. The head of the company supplying weapons to Armenia, David Galstyan, and former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Stepan Galstyan are also charged in this case.
