Gegharkunik Governor is confident: the occupied lands will be returned with the delimitation and demarcation process

ArmInfo. Currently no  delimitation and demarcation processes are taking place   in  Gegharkunik, told Karen Sargsyan, Gegharkunik Region Governor to  reporters during a briefing on July 25. At the same time, he noted  that he has no information when these processes will begin in his  region.

He stated with confidence that as a result of demarcation and  delimitation, the Azerbaijani military forces will have to withdraw  from the sovereign territories of Armenia occupied in 2021-2022.  "International organizations also say that the Azerbaijani Armed  Forces have occupied the sovereign territories of Armenia, and they  will leave and return our lands", Sargsyan said.

When asked why the Azerbaijanis did not leave Tavush after the  demarcation and delimitation, the governor noted that it was wrong to  comment on the situation in that way. He said that as a result of  these processes, the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been  delineated, which means that the sides have recognized each other's  sovereign territories.  "If there are places where someone has not  withdrawn, I am sure they will withdraw",Sargsyan emphasized, asking  to wait until all processes are completed.
