ArmInfo. The National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (NAS RA) organized a summer scientific school, which was attended by students from a number of educational institutions of Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the NAS RA.
The opening of the school took place at the site of archaeological excavations in Yeghegnadzor, under the leadership of the head of the laboratory of evolutionary genomics of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the NAS RA, Professor Levon Episkoposyan. It is worth noting that scientists and volunteers from Germany also worked with the Armenian scientific group.
According to the source, the closing of the summer scientific school took place at the Byurakan Observatory named after Victor Ambartsumyan of the NAS RA, where the participants got acquainted with the work of large telescopes and visited the House-Museum of Victor Ambartsumyan. The director of the observatory Areg Mikaelyan, in turn, spoke about Armenia's achievements in the field of astrophysics. It should be noted that the Russian Center for Science and Culture "Russian House" in Yerevan provided support for the summer scientific school.
