A memorandum will be signed with the International Organization of La Francophonie for the hosting of the 2027 Francophonie Games in the Republic of Armenia.
The Permanent Council of Francophonie unanimously decided to grant Yerevan the right to host the 2027 Francophonie Sports and Cultural Games. It is expected that more than 50 delegations and about 4,000 participants will arrive in the capital of Armenia to participate in the Games.
On December 14, 2023, Arayik Harutyunyan held a meeting in Paris with the Executive Director of the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF), Caroline Saint-Hilaire, and discussed the issues of holding the 2027 Francophonie Games. On December 15, the delegation headed by the head of the Prime Minister's Office took part in a meeting of the Organizing Council of the International Committee of the Games of Francophonie, during which Armenia's application to host the Games was discussed.
