ArmInfo. Even before the meeting, the Armenian side stated that it does not object to decisions being made in a limited format. CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov stated this in a commentary to Cronos.Asia, referring to the decisions taken at yesterday's meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Councils, which took place without the participation of Armenia.
Tasmagambetov said that special attention at the meeting was paid to the project "Targeted interstate program of the CSTO to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border."
When asked to clarify what the most difficult issue at the meeting was, the CSTO Secretary General admitted that the negotiations themselves were not difficult.
"The issue of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program, which was initiated in 2013 and was not implemented for 10-11 years due to objective reasons, was difficult. But despite the general geopolitical situation that has developed in the area of responsibility of our Organization and at the Council of Ministers defense, and with the secretaries of the Security Council, we were able to make a decision for the Collective Security Council to finally sign this program," he said.
