ArmInfo. From today, former and current diplomats who joined the "Tavush for the Motherland" protest movement will begin visiting diplomatic missions accredited in the country to present the true situation in Armenia. Leader of the movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, told journalists on June 3.
He noted that the visits will begin with the office of the European Union Delegation to the Republic, after which similar meetings will be held in all embassies. An agreement on the meetings has already been reached. "During these meetings, foreign diplomats will be presented with all the problems facing the country," the archbishop emphasized.
Against the backdrop of numerous cases of law enforcement agencies using disproportionate force against protesters, representatives of embassies are completely silent, as if not noticing what is happening, which gives additional trump cards to the authorities to continue the policy of pressure and the use of force against protesters. Particularly noticeable is the complete silence on the part of diplomatic missions of the collective West, which has turned a blind eye to problems related to human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
