Tavush for Motherland movement leader ready to become Armenia`s  premier 

ArmInfo.The head of the Tavush for the Motherland movement, Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the  Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan agreed to become a candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia. Galstanyan himself announced this on May 26 at a rally on Republic  Square.

He also informed that he was temporarily suspending his spiritual  activities. "I asked His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All  Armenians, to freeze my 30-year spiritual service," the archbishop  noted.

He also recalled that this movement began in the border zone against  lies and in the name of truth, and it was carried out with the  blessing of the Lord. Next, he turned to Armenian Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan and called on him to resign. "Nikol Pashinyan, we  don't want your political team to split, to set one person against  another, an Armenian against an Armenian.

I am addressing the representatives of the "Civil Contract". If your  boss still despises all of you and leads to division, we can also  create such division. Try your best not to reach this watershed, and  it won't be easy.  To summarize, I want to say that the victory of  truth has no alternative," he emphasized.

At the end of the rally, he again addressed Nikol Pashinyan and noted  that he was going to the government dachas to meet with him. "You  once considered yourself a people's man, rode a bicycle, collected  garbage from the ground, but very soon you began to fly in a  helicopter, protected by a huge number of police. I invite you to  come and get to know these people, not only as an individual, but  also as a person. If you never come, then, of course, you will have  long-exhausted legal legitimacy, but now I emphasize even more that  you have no moral legitimacy either," he concluded. Thousands of  citizens came to Republic Square today demanding the resignation of  the current prime minister.
