ArmInfo.The Armenian government has begun construction of new roads leading to the village of Kirants in the Tavush region of the republic. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan stated on May 22 during the government hour in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
He noted that in general it is about two roads, one of which, 750 meters long, is being built anew. Sanosyan emphasized that the road companies leading the work have committed to attract additional human resources to complete the road within 2 months. The length of the second road, which will run to Kirants through the village of Acharkut, will be 3.5 km. It will just need repair, again the repair will be completed in just two months.
The Kirants-Achakurt road should become an alternative to the section of the road that will come under the control of Azerbaijan.
According to the decisions of the commission on delimitation and demarcation of borders, in the area of the village of Kirants, Azerbaijan will receive two houses, a bridge, a section of the road towards Georgia and about 50 land plots.
