ArmInfo. A group of employees of the RA border troops is already in the village of Kirants, Tavush region of Armenia.
They told the RFE/RL's Armenian Service correspondent, that from today they will remain here and conduct a local survey to carry out further work. They have a tablet in their hands, they are not armed. Border guards are deployed in the area adjacent to the school under construction, where the border line will run.
Earlier, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan arrived in the village. He also talked about a bypass road that would pass through the neighboring village of Acharkut, then turn towards Kirants and join the current main road on the site adjacent to this very school.
As part of the borders delimitation, a part of the territory of the village of Kirants, which includes two houses, a bridge, a section of the interstate road to Georgia and about 50 land plots, should pass to Azerbaijan. For this reason, it is planned to build a new road, the construction period of which is set at 2-3 months.
