Police to block roads during EBRD forum in Yerevan

Based on the received application from the Ministry of Finance in order to ensure public  order and security in connection with the event organized within the framework of the International Forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which will be held at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after. A. Spendiaryan, The police will close the streets adjacent to the opera  building to traffic.

In particular, from 15:00 to 20:00 the following will be closed:  Teryan Street (from the intersection of Sayat-Nova Ave.-Teryan St. to  the intersection of Teryan-Tumanyan St.), as well as Tumanyan Street  (from the intersection of Tumanyan and Abovyan St. to intersection of  Mashtots Ave. and Tumanyan St.).  Traffic on these streets will be  limited not only for vehicles, but also for citizens.

It should be noted that for the first time in Armenia, roads are  closed for an international event.

Yesterday, Bagrat Galstanyan, summing up the day in the courtyard of  St. Anne's Church, called on citizens to gather on May 15 on Freedom  Square near the Opera House at 16:00, since at 17:00 there will be a  meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for  Reconstruction and Development, during which is expected to be  addressed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Participants in  the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement intend to express their  protest to the head of the Armenian government before international  organizations.
