ArmInfo. Yesterday's rally of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement on Republic Square was impressive, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vartan Oskanyan, adding that he personally took part in yesterday's protest action.
"According to estimates, more than 75 thousand of our citizens participated in the rally. This is truly the expression of the will of the people. All these people came to the square with one demand - the demand for the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan. This is a people's movement that has two specific features. Firstly, it is controlled by one person, who you can trust - Bagrat Srbazan. Secondly, this movement has a clear message - Nikol Pashinyan, you cannot rule the country, you cannot and will no longer be able to. You have put our country in a very difficult situation and failed both externally and internally. political agenda. You failed everything possible. You lost an important part of our homeland - Artsakh. You devastated Artsakh and now you don't even want to talk about it. Today Azerbaijan invaded our sovereign territories and is not going to leave them. You have sacrificed so many people, lost our allies, got entangled in geopolitical processes, and you will not be able to get out of this situation," Oskanyan stated.
According to him, a new person must come who can lead Armenia out of the current difficult situation. Oskanian believes that everything can be resolved constitutionally. At the same time, the former head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry believes that the candidate for the post of prime minister from the movement demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan should be Bagrat Galstanyan.
"I believe that Reverend Bagrat is on the right track when he announced yesterday that he is already holding consultations with parliamentary political forces in order to enter the National Assembly and begin the procedure for a vote of no confidence in Nikol Pashinyan.
The Constitution, of course, requires that these forces also present their candidate for Prime Minister. At the moment, I think that the candidate for the post of prime minister should be Reverend Bagrat. I don't know the details, but I think that this will happen, because this government will be temporary, maybe for a year. During this time, some problems will be solved, the Armenian people will straighten their backs, after which it will be possible to hold fair elections," Oskanian said in a video posted on his Facebook page.
Bagrat Galstanyan has already responded to the proposal of the former head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry regarding his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister. "I thank Mr. Oskanian, but I have no ambitions to become the prime minister of Armenia," he told reporters.
