ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not attend the swearing-in ceremony of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan said.
"Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not go to Moscow for Russian President Vladimir Putin's inauguration," Alen Simonyan told reporters.
When asked what the reason for such a decision was, Simonyan asked that all questions of interest be asked personally to Nikol Pashinyan during his upcoming press conference, which will take place on May 7.
At the same time, he noted that since the Republic of Armenia assumed the chairmanship of the EAEU and will chair the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council during 2024, it would be correct for the head of the government of the Republic of Armenia to take part in the anniversary summit of the EAEU.
The inauguration of the Russian president will take place in Moscow on May 7, and the anniversary summit of the EAEU will be held on May 8.
On June 3, 2023, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan attended the inauguration of Turkish President Recep Erdogan.
According to independent analysts in Armenia, given the current low level of Armenian-Russian interstate relations, it is possible that Pashinyan might not have received an invitation from the Kremlin.
