ArmInfo.India sends a military attach‚ to Armenia. The RTI agency reported this with reference to its sources.
"This is the first time that a military attache has been specifically appointed to Armenia," the source emphasized, adding that the emphasis is on the state with which India is developing military-technical cooperation.
He recalled that New Delhi has already agreed with Yerevan on the supply of Pinaka launchers, the Akash short-range anti-aircraft missile system and other weapons.
Earlier it was reported that India will supply Armenia with a batch of weapons and ammunition worth 20 billion rupees ($244.7 million). Deliveries will be carried out on the basis of contracts signed by the two countries in early September last year. In accordance with them, India will supply Armenia with Pinaka multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of its own design, which will be sold abroad for the first time, as well as anti-tank missiles and a batch of ammunition.
In 2020, India supplied four Swathi artillery reconnaissance systems to Armenia.
