ArmInfo. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is a threat to the national security of Armenia. ANCA Programs Director Alex Galitsky wrote on his account on Twitter (X), in response to the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia that some statements by the Artsakh authorities pose a threat to the national security of the Republic of Armenia.
"For decades, Artsakh's leaders valiantly defended the rights & security of the Armenian people in defiance of Azerbaijan's genocidal aggression. The only people trying to silence Artsakh's voice are Aliyev & Pashinyan. Pashinyan is a threat to Armenia's national security," Galitsky wrote.
The Prime Minister of Armenia stated yesterday at a government meeting, that there can be no other government except his on the territory of Armenia. "I cannot help but note that some circles of those forcibly deported from Nagorno-Karabakh, willy-nilly, commit actions that pose a threat to the national security of Armenia - they declare some kind of governments in exile, etc. I want to make a very clear statement to make it clear to everyone: There is one government in the Republic of Armenia, and it is now in this room. If anyone else in the Republic of Armenia identifies itself as a government, then this is a national security issue and I hope that the existence of this issue does not mean that our respective services have omissions in their work. This is not just a statement, it is a statement that should manifest itself in real life," Pashinyan noted.
Thus, the Armenian prime minister responded to the statement of Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan in an interview with Le Figaro. The latter, in particular, in response to the question of whether there is a state and government in exile, said: "Yes, in the building in which I am receiving you in Yerevan, there is the office of the President of Artsakh, as well as the offices of judicial and legislative bodies. In October I signed a decree which establishes that all government ministers remain in their positions voluntarily."
