ArmInfo. The European Union civilian monitoring mission in Armenia (EUMA) can visit the entire territory of Armenia, except for the Nerkin Hand village area, which is located in the zone of responsibility of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, Markus Ritter, head of the EUMA, told reporters Wednesday.
Initially, he said problems might arise related to visiting Nerkin Khanda.
When asked what explains the fact that EU observers are not allowed into Nerkin Hand, he noted that this question should be asked to the Russian side. He said that the mission is in Armenia as a guest. Armenia should deal with this issue, since they do not communicate with Russian forces stationed in Armenia, he noted.
According to Ritter, such a problem exists only with Nerkin Hand.
Today, in a conversation with journalists, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan, speaking with journalists about the latest incident in Nerkin Hand, said that the EU mission does not have access there, only Russia is present there, which could not prevent the latest incident, as a result which killed four Armenian soldiers.
