ArmInfo. In order for the Artsakh issue to always remain "hot", we must have a powerful Armenia and a powerful Diaspora, ex-speaker of the Nagorno-Karabakh Parliament Artur Tovmasyan told reporters.
In his opinion, today a strong connection between the Artsakh-Armenia-Diaspora trinity is more than necessary. As Tovmasyan noted, there can be no talk of self-dissolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, since no one has the right to dissolve the republic. For this reason, the National Assembly of Artsakh will function until May 21, 2025. Tovmasyan noted that the National Assembly will work, although it will not pass laws, but there will be decisions and statements.
"I think that we must be guided by current realities so as not to harm our compatriots in Armenia and Artsakh," Tovmasyan emphasized.
As for the return of Artsakh Armenians to Artsakh, as the former speaker noted, this requires international guarantees, since there are issues related to their safety.
He emphasized that residents of Artsakh cannot return and become citizens of Azerbaijan, this is impossible.
