MEP: Charles Michel`s soft stance and appeasement only serve to  embolden Aliyev`s aggression

ArmInfo.Just last week, European Council President Charles Michel congratulated the dictator  on his 'reelection' and said he looks forward to working towards normalisation of relations. Member of the European Parliament Miriam M. Lexmann wrote on her account on Twitter (X).

"So at what point will President Michel realise that his soft stance  and appeasement only serve to embolden Aliyev's aggression?" asked  the MEP, retweeting the publication of American journalist Lindsey  Snellabout Aliyev's threats against Armenia.

The latter, in particular, wrote: "Aliyev said the Armenia-Azerbaijan  normalization process should no longer be part of other countries'  agendas; they should mind their own business. AZ demands the EU  Mission leave Armenia, calls Armenia's border "conditional," attacks  Syunik."
