French NA Foreign Affairs Committee adopts resolution condemning  ethnic cleansing in Nagorno- Karabakh 

ArmInfo. French MP Hubert Julien-Laferriere posted the following message on his X account: 

"Adoption by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the resolution  denouncing the ethnic cleansing of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh by  Azerbaijan and demanding respect for the territorial integrity of  Armenia. I call on France and the EU to demand the release of  Armenian political prisoners." 

In her turn, French MP Anne-Laurence Petel posted the following  message on her X account: 

"Alert! 4 Armenian soldiers were killed this morning in an attack by  Azerbaijan in territory of Armenia around Nerkin Hand. In this area,  Azerbaijan has occupied positions in Armenian territory since 2022,  deliberately violating Armenia's sovereignty. Along the border,  nearly 200km2 are occupied by Azerbaijan.  The international  community cannot remains unresponsive to this violation of Armenia's  borders, an occupation that serves Aliyev's permanent threat project.

"Adopted. President of the friendship group, I presented this morning  my proposal for a European resolution before the Foreign Affairs  Committee of the National Assembly

"For: Denouncing e ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh 

"Providing military support to Armenia to enable it to defend its  borders

"Sanctioning Azerbaijan in the event of further violation of  Armenia's territorial integrity."
